色の話を立て続けにすみません・・・
本日、織りの作家さんshirocoさんの個展に行ってから
「いい色」について考えていまして。
「いい色」て、彩度が高いとか明度が高いということでもなくて、
色の特性をどれだけ理解できているか、だと思うのです。
隣り合う色や重なり合う色同士の特性を理解して
表現したいことによって自分で変化できる力だったり、
その色に対して自身がどれだけ愛着を持って理解しているか、
ということが大きく影響する気がします。
例えば、グレーを例に挙げると、
黒と白を混ぜたグレーは彩度が０ですが、
補色と白を混ぜて作ったグレーは彩度があります。
どの補色を組み合わせるかによっても変わります。
いい色とは、そういった特性を理解し、
表現によって適宜に選ばれた色のことを指す気がします。
shirocoさんの織りはとてもいい色です。

I'm sorry to talk about colors again. After going to the solo exhibition of weaving artist shiroco today I was thinking about "good colors". "Good color" does not mean that it is highly saturated or bright. I think it's how well you understand the characteristics of color. How much you are attached to and understand the color I feel that that has a big impact. For example, take gray as an example. A good color is to understand those characteristics and I feel that it refers to the color that is appropriately selected according to the expression. shiroco's weave is a very nice color.
