絵の具のおはなし、続編です。
今回は「耐光性」のはなしです。
絵の具は色の種類によって（例えば黄色系など）
光に弱いものがあります。
太陽光等の影響で劣化しやすい、または褪色（色が抜けてしまうこと）しやすいのですね。
例えば、蛍光マーカーの黄色で線を引いたところが
数年経って見てみると消えていた、というようなことです。
その絵の具がどれくらい光による影響を受けにくいかは、
絵の具の後ろに耐光性が記されているので、見てみてください。
わたしの場合は特に黄色の絵の具を買うときは耐光性が高いものを
買うように注意しています。
また、表現したい色の理由で耐光性の低い絵の具を使うときは、長い将来、その部分が褪色しても表現として成立するように気を配っています。
だからと言って、全く気にしないで描いて、面白い結果や効果をもたらすこともあるかもしれないので、一概に、耐光性について気を配る必要があるかというと、
それは作家の表現の個性次第、ということに行き着くような気がします。
もし自分の作品の発色に気を配るのであれば、耐光性も意識する必要があるかもしれません。
ちなみに油画の場合は画面保護や艶出しのために、表面にワニスや乾性油が塗られている場合があります。その場合、経年とともに黄変（画面が黄色くなってしまうこと）することがあるため、数年に一度など、画面の手入れが必要になる場合があります。
油画を購入する際は、その作品の技法や手入れについても確認しておくといいかもしれません。

That said, it may be possible to draw without worrying about it at all and bring interesting results and effects, so in general, it is necessary to pay attention to light resistance. I feel that it depends on the individuality of the artist's expression. If you pay attention to the color of your work, you may also need to be aware of its light resistance. By the way, in the case of oil paintings, varnish or drying oil may be applied to the surface to protect the screen and polish it. In that case, it may turn yellow (the screen turns yellow) over time, so it may be necessary to clean the screen, such as once every few years or decade. When purchasing an oil painting, it may be a good idea to check the technique and care of the work.
